In most cases we can get very close to the original colour. If there's any problem matching it, we'll let you know before we start.

Yes. We can CNC lathe your wheels to match the original machined shape, then re-lacquer to match the factory diamond cut finish.

What does restoring a wheel to OEM standard actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It means the wheel goes back the way the manufacturer built it, not just tidied up enough to pass a glance. The profile, the finish and the colour are matched to the original, and the wheel is checked before it leaves. It is the standard we have worked to for over 20 years and the reason trade partners keep sending us work. If a wheel cannot be brought back to that standard, we will say so rather than hand back something we are not happy with.

How can the turnaround be quick without the quality dropping?

Because the equipment has moved on. CNC machining with digital profiling, custom spray booths and infra-red curing ovens do work faster and more accurately than the older methods, and every stage happens in house so nothing sits waiting on a third party. The speed comes from the technology and the process, never from skipping a step in the finish.

Is a repaired alloy wheel still safe to drive on?

Every wheel that comes through our workshop is buckle and crack tested before any restoration work begins, and straightening is carried out to within safety tolerances. If a wheel can't be returned to a safe, roadworthy condition we'll tell you rather than refinish it, and we can supply an OEM or refurbished replacement instead.

How long does a wheel repair take?

Turnaround depends on the service and how busy the workshop is. Assessment, straightening, machining, paint and curing all happen in house at Mordialloc, so we're never waiting on a third party. That's how we keep trade turnaround times short. Ask when you book and we'll give you a realistic date.

Can I claim wheel damage on insurance?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes. Insurers will generally cover the cost of repairing accidental or malicious damage to alloy wheels, and will usually pay for a replacement where a repair isn't viable. We're an authorised repairer for insurance companies and supply detailed wheel and tyre damage assessment reports to support a claim.

Do you work directly with the public?

Most of our work comes through trade partners, many of whom have been with us for years. If you're a vehicle owner, send through a quote request with photos and we'll advise the best way to get your wheels sorted.

Do you supply replacement wheels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Where a wheel is beyond safe repair we can source OEM and aftermarket replacements, and we carry refurbished stock. We also supply replacement tyres and can fit up to 28 inch.

Do you handle run-flat tyres?

Yes. Our staff are fully trained and licensed for safe run-flat tyre removal and refitting, and we handle wheel balancing and reverse mount in house.
